OBITUARY:
Benjamin Young, an aged man, fell dead while attending to the evening chores in the barn belonging to John Sykes, in Spring Valley, Tuesday evening. Mr Young was about 64 years of age and had heart trouble for several years. Tuesday he seemed better than he had felt for several months and persuaded the family to allow him to leave the house and assist in the evening work about the barn. He had been dead several minutes before his body was found. The funeral was held Wednesday at 10 o’clock from the residence of John Sykes. Burial took place in the Pierce cemetery near the house. Mr Young was unmarried and hailed from Pennsylvania. Coroner Chapman was called from Dallas and held an inquest, the jury finding that death came from natural causes.
