This unmarked grave is probably for a relative of James Henry Triplett who settled on a donation land claim in Spring Valley in 1853 and appears with wife and family in the 1860 census of Polk County, family 225. The family later moved to Josephine County, Oregon, where they widowed James and two of his sons appear in the 1880 census.
