OBITUARY:
David Kime, May 6, 1932-Apr 13, 2002
Salem – David W. Kime, 69, loving husband, father and friend, died Saturday of cancer. He married Barbara Akers on Dec 26, 1950. He worked for Cliff Shrock Trucking for 36 years, whereby he owned and operated his own truck for five years. He retired in 1989, and he and Barbara became “snowbirds.” He loved his friends and family, and enjoyed traveling. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; daughters, Debby Metcalfe and Tina Jolley, both of Salem, and Sue Wood of Jerome, Idaho; sons, Wally Kime of Stayton/Scio, and Ken Kime of Seattle, Wash; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 pm Thursday, April 18 at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Zena, Ore. Arrangements are by Crown Cremation and Funeral Service in Milwaukie. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Salem Hospital Hospice.
