Ray Davis, July 6, 1929-August 2, 2016

Ray Gerow Davis, 87, Minot, North Dakota, formerly of Salem, Oregon, passed away August 2, 2016 in Minot. Ray was born July 6, 1929 in Crookston, Nebraska, to Earl Walter and Elsie Ellen (Wilmot) Davis. He served four years in the US Air Force during the Korean War and worked as a serviceman for Pitney Bowes in Salem, Oregon for 23 years. Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jessie and their three daughters: Mary (Davie) Holmes, Anchorage, Alaska along with their son, daughter-in-law, daughter and four granddaughters; Melinda (Larry) Johnson, Kenmare, North Dakota, along with their eight daughters, four sons-in-law, and three granddaughters; and Michelle (Joe) Cox, Anchorage, Alaska. Sister Joy Bergeron, bend, Oregon; Sister-in-law, Gloria Davis, Tillamook, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by: his parents, three brothers, one sister, three brothers-in-law, and three sisters-in-law. Visitation: Wednesday, August 10, 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center, Dallas, Oregon. Celebration of the Life of Ray Davis: Thursday, August 11, 10:30 am at the Spring Valley Presbyterian Church, Zena, Oregon, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. www.dallastribute.com
