OBITUARY:

Rosalie Olson
July 26, 1925 - January 26, 2015
Rosalie was born to Frank and Kathryn Dulley in Garibaldi, Oregon. Her family soon afterwards moved to McMinnville and they lived there until her father passed away when she was ten years old. Her family then moved to the San Francisco area to be with family for two years before returning to McMinnville. She attended McMinnville public schools and then worked to help support the family until she moved to Salem where she met her husband Victor Lew Olson Jr. They were married on June 9th, 1955, and lived in the Brush College area. They farmed in West Salem until the early 1990's. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and gardening and also volunteered as a 4-H leader.
After retiring she enjoyed watching her grandson and helped her daughter and son-in-law at their nursery. She continued to live in the family home after her husband passed away in 2006, until 2012. She then moved to the Hillside Retirement Community in McMinnville where she lived until passing away peacefully with her family at her side after battling scoliosis, heart problems and pneumonia.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Andy and Bud; her sisters, Betty and Helen; and her husband, Victor. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine, and grandson, Quentin, sister-in-law, Joan and son-in-law, Vince.
A viewing will be held at Macy & Son Funeral Home, 135 NE Evans St., McMinnville, from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, January 31st. A graveside service will be held at 3pm at the Spring Valley Cemetery on Brush College Rd. NW, Salem.
