OBITUARY: 

OREGON PIONEER DIES
W. B. Walker, a pioneer of the early '40's and who twice crossed the plains in those early days, died at Waitsburg, Wash., yesterday. He settled in Spring Valley, Polk couny, when he came to Oregon, and lived there for many years. He was the father of C. M. Walker, of Howell, and there is one son, F. M. Walker, at Waitsburg, and Mrs. C. T Kamm, of Portland, Mrs. E. S. Couse of New York and Mrs. M. Fisk, in Eastern Oregon. He was a brother-in-law of Smiley PUrvine, of this city, and a brother of C. C. and Major Walker, both deceased, formerly resident of Spring Valley.  The remains will arrive here tomorrow at 11 a.m. and the funeral will be held at Zena church tomorrow afternoon. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church.
