Former Salem resident Maxine Stiffler, 60, 2698 Almaden, Eugene, died Saturday at home. She was born in Salem and attended local schools. She is survived by husband, Stanley; parents, Mr and Mrs Fred Olson, Salem; daughters, Susan McDonald, San Francisco, and Jane Stiffler, Eugene; son, Mark, Eugene; brother, Eldon Olson, Salem; sister, Nadine Birchard, Eugene; and three grandchildren. Private services will be tomorrow at Howell-Edward-Doerksen mortuary. Interment will be in Zena Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society.
