OBITUARY:

Mrs. Robbins' Death
ROBBINS - Clarrisa Earl Robbins, the beloved wife of Walter J. Robbins, was born at Hatley, Province of Quebec, Canada, April 2, 1856, and died in this city at the residence of Joseph A. Sellwood, August 3, 1896, aged 40 years, 4 months, and 1 day. Mrs. Robbins was well known and loved by many intimate friends having spent her early years in and near this city, but more recently having her home near Ellensburg, Washington.
Sometime since two of her beloved children died of diptheria. After their death Mrs. Robbins rapidly faded, having been in delicate health for several years, and it was thought best for her to come to the home of her sister, Mrs. J. A. Sellwood, hoping that the change and meeting with her many friends would prove beneficial in aiding her recovery. The hoped for results failed, and her husband was telegraphed for. He came immediately, and was by her bedside constantly until the end came, waiting upon her with great devotion, assisted by the family of her beloved sister and brother.
Her eldest son, Rodney C. White, arrived a few days ago. She leaves a devoted husband, three children, on sister, Mrs. J. A. Sellwood, one brother, Mr. Henry L. Earl, of Turner, Oregon, and a host of freinds to mourn her demise.
Funeral services will be held at St. Pauls Episcopal church (of which she was a devoted member) Wednesday, August 5th at 1 p.m. From there to Spring Valley cemetery for interment.
All friends who desire to view the remains will call at the residence of J. A. Sellwod, 383 Front street, before 12 noon Wednesday, August 5th.
