Dora McGowan died April 12, 2008, at age 91.
Dora Grey was born Aug. 27, 1916, in Consett, England. She lived in Kamloops, British Columbia, and Eatonville, Wash., before moving to Portland in 1953 and to Oregon City in 1960. She had lived in Amity since 1994. She was a homemaker. In 1937, she married Richard McGowan; he died in 1995.
Survivors include her daughters, Joan Cooper and Janet Haugen; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Her daughter Carol Porter died earlier.
