OBITUARY: 

Earl A. Johnson, July 13, 1917-Dec 26, 1991

Earl A. Johnson, 74, of Salem, died Thursday. He was born in the Hazelgreen area and was a lifetime resident of the Salem area. He was a 1935 graduate of Salem High School, and had farmed near Spring Valley for 50 years. He enjoyed steelhead fishing and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Helen, whom he married on April 26 1941; daughter, Carol Niederer of Rebstein, Switzerland; son, David A. of Atwater, Calif; sister, Myrtle McDonald of Salem; brother, Frank H. of Silverton; and five grandchildren. Services will begin at 10:30 am Tuesday in the Spring Valley Community Church. Vault interment will be in the Zena Cemetery, Spring Valley. Arrangements are by Barrick mortuary. Contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission.
