The doctor said the injury apparently was received in the crash, in which Janssen’s car struck the rear of a parked truck at Liberty and Marion streets NE. It was the second traffic death in the city of Salem this year. It raised the combined Marion-Polk road toll to 12. Nine of those have occurred in Marion County.
