DIVORCE – J.T. vs Josephine Hunt; complaint filed 7 Mar 1899, says they were married Oct 1883 [sic] in Portland, Ore; they have one child, Lloyd Hunt, age 13y; Josephine left him in July 1898 and went to Portland

NOTE – wife Rebecca was widow of Hiram Alonzo Skinner who died 11 Mar 1900 in West Salem and was buried in Lee Mission Cemetery. She had an even earlier husband named Squier in Ontario, Canada. She died 28 Oct 1930 in West Salem and was buried in the Skinner lot at Lee Mission Cemetery [OSBH DC 1930 Polk co #124]
BIOGRAPHY – Joseph T. Hunt was blacksmith in Spring Valley for many years. Some of his tools are on display at the Polk County Museum in Rickreall.
