Services were Monday at Virgil T. Golden mortuary for Vesta Belle Lewis, 94, a former longtime Salem resident living in Seaside, who died Tuesday at her home. Born at Prairie City, she lived in Salem 60 years and taught at school in Oregon, Montana and Wisconsin. She moved to Seaside three years ago. Surviving are stepsons Fred Lewis, Salem; stepdaughters Irene Rowland, Salem, and Helen Dietrick, in California. Interment was in Zena Cemetery.
