OBITUARY: 

Anna Fast, Jan 31, 1926-Aug 10, 1998

Anna Fast, 72, of Salem, died Monday. Cause of death was unavailable. She was born in Paxton, Neb, and came to Salem in 1940. She was a missionary teacher for 20 years at Kent Academy in Nigeria and taught elementary school in California and Oregon. She attended the First Baptist Church and enjoyed photography and reading. Survivors include her brothers, Daniel Fast of Depoe Bay and Peter Fast of Portland; and sisters, Marie Neufeld and Katherine Adrian, both of Dallas, Lena Gookin of Galva, Kan, and Bertha Workentine of Grafton, Neb. Visiting will be 9 am to 8 pm Thursday in Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Chapel of the gardens. Memorial sevices will be 1 pm Thursday in the mortuary. Private interment will be in Spring Valley Cemetery in Zena. Contributions: Society of International Ministries, PO Box 7900, Charlotte, NC 28241.
