Mr Crangle was born in Ireland in 1833. He came to the United States when but a boy, settling at Watertown, Wis, where he remained until 1849, when he came to California and engaged in mining. In 1862 he came to Oregon and two years later married Miss Harriet Stevenson. Mr Crangle was for many years a resident of Saem and at one time served as justice of the peace. For a number of years prior to his death he had been an invalid in an almost helpless condition, so the end was not unexpected when it came. Deceased is survived by a widow and five children, as follows: Mrs Harriet Crangle, Mrs Charles Simpson, Mrs W.S. Waterbury, Salem; Mrs J.M. Spong, Robert and Chas. Crangle, of Lincoln. - Statesman
