OBITUARY: 

Winnie Daisy Fletcher, 98, of Independence died in a local nursing home Dec 1. Born in Kansas, Mrs Fletcher moved to Oregon in 1890. She lived in Albany, Salem and Klamath Falls before moving to Independence seven years ago. She was a member of Cloverleaf Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include her sister, Mrs C.L. Burbank, Monmouth, a granddaughter, three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Private services were Saturday in Pedee Evangelical Church of North America with interment in Womer Cemetery in Pedee.
