OBITUARY: 
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday. Aug. 22, 1997, in Bollman Funeral Home in Dallas for Verlie Catherine Walker, who died Aug. 3 at age 98.
Mrs. Walker was born July 30, 1899, in Dayton, Wash. Her maiden name was West. She moved in 1941 to Portland.
Survivors include her son, Arlan C., of Portland, an daughter, Marcia Gudmundsen of Clackamas.
Interment was in Brown Cemetery in Dallas.
