OBITUARY: 

Lucy Campbell Shahan, 83, died in Seattle Sunday. She was a member of the Polk pioneer Remington family and formerly had lived in Dallas for many years. Her husband died in Dallas late in 1949. The body is being shipped here for funeral services at the Henkle and Bollman chapel today (Thursday) at 10 am with Rev Kenneth Johnston, pastor of the Christian church officiating. Burial will be in the Brown cemetery near Polk Station. Mrs Shahan was a long time member of the Christian church.
