OBITUARY: 
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 pm for Percy Logan Lewis, 64, a resident of Polk county all of his life, who died Friday in the Dallas hospital after an illness of three months. The Rev R. William Elmer officiated at the services whidch were held in the Henkle and Bollman chapel. Burial was in the Smith cemetery, located about 1½ miles south of Monmouth on the old highway. Mr Lewis, the son of Mr and Mrs William Lewis, was born on June 24, 1884, at Lewisville. He was married to Grace Joslen on September 14, 1940, in Dallas. During the past three months he had resided at Grand Ronde. Surviving are the widow, Mrs Lewis; four sisters, Ida Grant of Dallas, Vada Madison of Portland, Josephine Brinkley of Salem and Leotta Smith of Tillamook; four nieces and two nephews.
