He was 65 years old. Polk County Observer (Fri) 31 May 1901, 3:3 ANTIOCH: R. Clark died May 23 and was buried in the Smith cemetery. While his death was expected it came very sudden. He left a wife and thirteen children to mourn his loss. He was a devoted husband and loving father and an excellent neighbor.
