OBITUARY: Eleanor Patruno, May 15, 1922-May 26, 1998
Eleanor Margaret Patruno of Albany died at the Corvallis Manor May 2. She was 76. Born in Detroit, Mich, she grew up and attended schools in Hellertown, Pa. She attended Trenton State College for two years following high school. She served in the US Air Force during World War II as a secretary at William Air Force Base in Chandler, Ariz. After four years and the conclusion of the war, she returned to Pennsylvania where she married Michael J. Patruno in 1948. A homemaker, she worked at home until her husband retired and they moved to Chandler, Ariz, in 1982. Her husband Michael died in 1988 and she moved to Monmouth in 1996. She enjoyed traveling. Survivors include her sons, Gary of Mesa, Ariz, Pat of San Jose, Calif, and Greg of York, Pa; a daughter, Joanne Gullyes of Monmouth; and five grandchildren. Graveside services were held May 28 in the Fircrest cemetery in Monmouth. McHenry Funeral Home in Corvallis handled the arrangements.
