Itemizer Observer, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 Rose Marie Parma Orgovan, Feb. 3, 1927-April 7, 2009 Rose Marie Parma Orgovan, 82, of Monmouth died April 7 in Monmouth. She was born in Brownsville, Pa, to Joseph and Josephine Wells. She married Joseph Orgovan on April 20, 1945, and moved to Oregon in 1945 from Joffre, Pa. Rose worked for Oregon College of Education, now Western Oregon University, as a bookkeeper. She also worked for Monmouth City Hall, retiring in the 1980s. Rose enjoyed gardening, collecting bells, cooking, collecting state quarters, and trips to the casino. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Orgovan, in 1985; brothers, Sam and Anthony; and sisters, Madelyn and Elizabeth. Survivors include her sons, Joe and Martin of Monmouth, and her sister, Teresa of Pennsylvania. Service was April 13 at Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence, and interment was at Smith Cemetery in Monmouth. To send an online condolence: www.farnstroms.com.
