OBITUARY: 
John J. Leveck, husband of Mary E. Leveck, died suddenly at their home on the Luckiamute, Sunday morning, June 9, 1935, about 5:00 am. Mr Levck was born in Redwing, Minn, August 15, 1871. He came to Oregon when only 19 years of age and had lived continuously in the Lewisville community ever since. He resided on the B.F. Smith homestead for 40 years previous to his passing. He was married to Miss Mary E. Smith, December 14, 1902, at ther home of her parents, the late Mr and Mrs B.F. Smith. To this union was born one son, who died in infancy. Mr Leveck is survived by his widow; one sister, Mrs Msary Burns of St Paul, Minn; several nieces and nephews and ahost of friends. He ttended Dallas College in 1901. He had been a member of the Evangelical church for a number of years. He was one of the community’s most progressive farmers and a loyal citizen. The funeral was held at the Lewisville church Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock. The services were conducted by C.P. Gates of Portland, district superintendent of the Evangelical church, and Rev E.A. Fogg, local pastor. Pallbearers were Vern Osborn, Percy Lewis, Claude Hoisington, Rufus Dodge, Laird Lindeman and Ernest Hoisington. Mrs Ethel Osborn and Miss Dorothea Boyer sang and Miss Mattie Swann was at the organ. Mr Leveck’s nephew Roy Burns and wife of St Paul, Minn, were among those present.
