OBITUARY: 
Robert Butts, 94, 18755 Pedee Street, Pedee, died May 12 at Capitol View Health Care Center, Salem. He was born in Slogans Valley, the son of Henry and Ellen Davis Butts on Feb 26, 1890. He moved to the Montgomery area in 1912 and to Pedee in 1950 where he was employed as a logger. He was a veteran of World War I serving in the army. Surviving is one sister, Pearl Metcalf of Newport, along with many friends in the Pedee area. Graveside services were May 15 in Montgomery Cemetery with Rev David Peightal of Dallas First Christian Church officiating. Local arrangements were by Bollman Funeral Home. Memorials in his memory may be given to Pedee Good News Club in care of Pedee Evangelical Church, Pedee.
