Graveside services for Ellen Hatty Butts, who died Monday will be Thursday (today) 2 pm at Montgomery cemetery near Pedee. Rev Jack Hiller will officiate. Friesen-Wiens Mortuary has charge of the arrangements. Mrs Butts, who was 93, had lived in Polk county for 50 years. She was born April 24, 1871, in Pattens Valley, Washington county, Oregon, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Alfred Davis. She was married to Henry Butts at Gaston in 1898. He preceded her in death in 1922. She lived in Pattens Valley until 1913 when she and her family moved to the Pedee, Kings Valley area, where she had lived since. Survivors include two sons, Robert Butts, Pedee, and Lee Butts, Sheridan; two daughters, Mrs Virginia Hill, Calipatria, Calif, and Mrs Pearl Metcalf, Newport; and two grandchildren.
