Janice L. Noah, 67, of Newport died Oct. 25, 2005.
She was born to parents Vincent and Margaret (Gathard) Smith March 18, 1938 in Corvallis, Ore. She was raised in Kings Valley and attended school in Philomath.
She married Charles Noah in Santa Cruz, Calif. on Aug. 2, 1966. In 1985, she moved with her husband to Newport from San Jose, Calif. where she worked as a cook at the Pip Tide restaurant. In 1985, they moved to Salem, and returned to Newport in July 2005 to be closer to family.
She cared about all her children, grandchildren and family her whole life and gave herself to everyone unconditionally. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Margaret Smith; son, Rory Crumal in Sept. 2000; brothers, Clifford Smith and Bill Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Charles Noah of Newport; children, Rick Crumal of Sutherlin, Ore., Marla Myers of Portland, Brenda Verlini of Newport, Randy Crumal of Dublin, Texas, Ronald Noah of Stevenville, Texas, and Launa Frizzell of Newport; siblings, Dennis Smith of Elgin, Ore., Bob Smith of Portland, Cindy Van Rooyen of Klamath Falls, Ore., Pat Yoeman of Klamath Falls, Betty Gulseth of Myrtle Point, Ore., Pam Herman of Broadbent, Ore.; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Oct. 28, 2005 in Monmouth, Ore. at English Cemetery.
