[Julia, birthname Julietta, was adopted. She was the daughter of Ephriam and Julia Ann Conrow. The mother died shortly after the birth of Julia, and was cared for by J. OBITUARY: 
Mrs. J. L. Williams, a former elderly resident of Monmouth, passed away at the Deaconess hospital in Salem Tuesday afternoon. Since the death of her husband, “Uncle Bob” Williams, May 4, Mrs. Williams has been in the hospital. Her maiden name was Martha Simpson and she was a daughter of Greene Simpson, having been born in Arkansas 82 years ago. Her father was one of the pioneer settlers of the Luckiamute valley. The Williams’ never had any children but have an adopted daughter, Mrs. W.K. Tetherow of North Port, Wash, who is expected here to attend the funeral. Charles Leonard, an old friend of the couple, and administrator under the will of Mr. Williams, is looking after the funeral arrangements. The funeral party will leave Henkle’s undertaking parlors in Independence this afternoon (Friday) at 12:30 and will proceed to Airlie where burial is to be in the Smith [English] cemetery. There will be services at the grave with Rev H.C. Dunsmore officiating.

AGED MONMOUTH WOMAN DIES IN SALEM HOSPITAL
A pioneer resident of the Luckiamute country, and past 82 years old, Mrs. Martha Williams died Tuesday night in the Deaconess Hospital in Salem. The funeral was held today and interment was made in the English cemetery at Airlie.
Mrs. Williams, with her husband, who died May 8th last, was a pioneer resident on a farm near Luckiamute station. A few years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Williams moved to Monmouth, where they made their home until the last summons.
There were no children and the nearest living relative is a niece living at some point in Washington.
