OBITUARY: 
Funeral services for Theodore Morgan Thrasher, will be held in the Warner-McHenry Funeral home Tuesday at 2 pm, with interment in the Monmouth cemetery. The son of Frank and Addie Savage Thrasher, he was born January 28, 1879. When a small child he moved to Summit, and on July 3, 1900 he was married to Maude C. Rose at Monmouth. The couple made their home at Independence for a number of years before moving to Falls City where they lived for 22 years. The family then moved to Philomath in 1936 where they have since resided. Besides his widow he is survived by two sons, Carl W. Thrasher, with the US air force now stationed in Korea, and Kenneth P. Thrasher, in Casablanca, Africa; two brothers, Joe, Port Townsend, and Ralph Thrasher of Glendale, Calif. There are four grandchildren. One son, Walter, died in 1944.

Theodore M. (Dode) Thrasher, 72, of Philomath, died suddenly at his home September 7. Funeral services were held September 11 in Corvallis with burial in the Monmouth cemetery. Mr. Thrasher and Miss Maude C. Rose were married July 3, 1900, at Monmouth. They secured the first marriage license issued from the new Polk county courthouse. Last year they celebrated their golden wedding at Philomath with a gathering of relatives and old friends. The couple first resided at Independence, then at Falls City for 22 years, moving to Philomath in 1936. Mrs. Thrasher has been in very poor health and his death came as a severe shock to her. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Carl W. Thrasher, a member of the US air force now stationed in Korea, and Kenneth P. Thrasher of Casablanca, Africa; two brothers, Joe Thrasher of Port Townsend, Wash, and Ralph Thrasher of Glendale, Calif. There are four grandchildren. A host of friends reside throughout the county.
