1900 OR CENSUS - Clarinda Ritner, age 34, mother of 3, b. Feb 1866 in Oregon, is enumerated with Lewis, age 42, occupation farmer, b. Nov 1857 in Oregon, and his wife of 19 years, along with Ella, age 17, b. Dec 1882 in Oregon, Annie, age 14, b. Jun 1885 [1886] in Oregon, and Peter, age 11, b. Oct 1888 in Oregon. Also enumerated with the family is Sarrah, identified as mother [of Lewis], age 74, widowed, mother of 12 children 7 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Aug 1825 in Pennsylvania.

OBITUARY: 
After an illness of some time, Mrs. Lou Ritner passed away at the Dallas hospital Tuesday morniong. The funeral will occur today at 11 o’clock from the family home in King’s Valley. Mrs. Ritner was born in Benton county in 1865, and was married when 16 years old to Lou Ritner, 32 years ago. She leaves three children to mourn the loss of an indulgent mother and a most estimable woman in every respect, who was a credit to the community in which she lived, and who will be sadly missed by those who have known her for so many years. The children are Peter Ritner of King’s Valley; Mrs Frank Scheythe of a Washington lumer camp, and Mrs Arnold, of King’s Valley; also her husband.

Mrs. Clarenda (sic) Rittner (sic) Native of Oregon Dies at Dallas Hospital Tuesday - Funeral Yesterday.
Following an illness of six weeks, Mrs. Clarenda (sic) Rittner (sic), aged 48 years and a native of Oregon, died at the Dallas Hospital Tuesday night. 
Mrs. Rittner (sic) was born at Blodgett, Benton county, and had been a resident of Oregon since her birth. She was married at the age of 16 years and is survived by a husand and three children. Mrs. Rittner (sic) was a resident of Pedee. The funeral services were held at the Ritner home yesterday morning, Rev D.M. Metzger officiating.
