"...Col. Nathaniel Ford was born Jan 22, 1795, in Buckingham Co., Va. His wife, Lucinda Duncan Embree (sister of Carrie Embree) was born Nov. 18, 1799, in Clark Co., Ky. They were married July 11, 1822 by Rev. W. Warren, Esq., in Howard Co., Mo."
"...Grandmother Ford was small. Her hair was brown and she had grey eyes. When a girl she was admired for her very pretty singing voice."
